Prelude EnginePimpin Yoda 07-29-2002, 10:47 PM Hey i was wondering the specs on a 1984 prelude engine. I was also wondering how good it would do if droped into a 1991 Accord. I'll be happy for any info. Dont know exactly what model the 84 lude is but all info on any model is good. Thanx! alphanumericgt2 07-30-2002, 12:40 AM it is illegal in most states if not all to drop an older engine in a car. the engine has to be the same year or newer. mgcatthew 07-30-2002, 01:19 AM it aint illegal till you get caught :bandit: Pimpin Yoda 07-30-2002, 08:42 AM why is it illegal to do it? and what would the different be? accordadicted 07-30-2002, 09:32 AM i think it has to do with the pollution . Each car has a certain level of Emmissions is puts out the tail pipe , and when the inspector punches in that cars Vin number , it tells him the legal limit of pullution for that car in that year . Well if you toss in a older motor , its levels of pullutions are higher . Pimpin Yoda 07-30-2002, 10:57 AM that sucks! coulda gotten it for CHEAP! Pimpin Yoda 07-30-2002, 01:10 PM Is it illegal to do it? or will i just fail the emissions test and thats what makes it illegal? also is there any way to make it legal?!?! Pimpin Yoda 07-31-2002, 05:09 PM does anyone know if it just illegal because emissions? since i am in Oklahoma emissions matters not. They did away with it. Please replay soon! accord92 08-01-2002, 04:47 PM man im in oklahoma too...and its not illegal. but i dont know why the hell you would wanna put an 84 prelude engine in an accord. that will be the slowest accord on the face of the planet. i know the b20 engines that came in the 3rd gen were shit...so im guessing things only got worse the farther back you go. those 84 preludes were small weak cars. I WOULDNT DO IT. Pimpin Yoda 08-01-2002, 07:06 PM okay thanx alot man! Oklahoma SUCKS! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
