Hi - I just recently purchased an 89 cutlass ciera INTL with 3.3L / 4spd. I got it basically for the mileage. (my 1st non v-8, non RWD car) It was one-owner before i got it, but i really have no history on the vehicle. It has 118k on the clock. Couple of things I need to address
1/ I think the heater core is going. It doesn't put out much heat, and when the car is warm, even with the heater off, I get a faint smell of anti-freeze inside the car. There is also a film that keeps appearing on the window. How hard is that to change on these cars? I know it' a PITA on my camaro!

2/ It has a full guage package. Most of them are more or less accurate, except for the tach. It bounces all over the place. It registers, but usually about twice the rpm I am actually going. Is that a cable? or an electronics problem?
