Ok, long story but will try to make it short.
Girlfriend's 02 Yukon had rear shock go bad. We all know how expensive they are so the mechanic and her decided to replace with regular shocks instead of the stock ones. She has the ride control system with compressor that adjusts the shocks. Service ride control light is now on in dashboard. Mechanic has tried several setups with resistors to fool the system into thinking it is still working properly. So far they have only worked for a short time, with light staying off a day or two and then poping back on. Anyone have any experience with this and know how to get that light off for good??

Here are the instructions I have to disable the ride ctrl system.
1. Locate height sensing unit on under body of the vehicle approximately above the rear axle. Locate a small link connected to the rear axel trailing arm. The upper end of this link will be connected to the electronic height sensing unit.
2. Unplug electrical wire harness fron the height sensing unit. System now deactivated.
3. Cover exposed electrical connector with tape or other suitable material and secure to underside of vehicle.
4. It is not necessary to disconnect link to railing arm.

I hope this helps. It is all that I could find

Guys, I have a very simmilar issue with my truck, the leveling shocks were leaking so I got some edelbrock ones' and also got the spring helpers from airlift shock company. Now I have routed the self leveling air lines into the new air bags and the system works great, the issue is the darn light is staying on and I know it's to do with the electronics that were in the original shocks.

Does anyone know what to put on the connector that used to plug into the top of the sock? should it be shorted out? should it be a resistor or what?

Please help the light is making me blind.:banghead:

Hi me again, I was still wondering if anyone out there used the Edlebrock shocks IAS, to replace the factory autoride shocks. I have found that the truck holds the road very nice now, but as stated above the light won't go away.

Any suggestions, please?
