Has anyone here changed the manifold/exhaust pipe donut on these cars?

I looked under mine the other day and on this one it appears you have to take some of the cross members off to get at the sealing flange up by the engine.:banghead:

Was just curious if anyone else has done this or run into it before on this platform car.
