I have a 99 Eclipse and I'm looking to put a complete body kit on it (front, side skirts, and rear)....what would be the best fitting kit? I'm thinking about the Blitz style but might not go that route since everyone has them. Anyone with opinions or better yet EXPERIENCE with installing body kits on Eclipses chime in here and help me out.

well have you done anything to the engine? cause going show and not go will get you labled RICE, and rightfully so

big point there, if you do body kit without engine first, its like all those damn type r's. You can say "well I gotta look good first" but my car dosent look hot, hell, the paints shitty and fading...but when I smoke the ricers who put mass cash into body mods and some into engine, thats when the look of shame starts....do you wish for that look? MRMMMR? I should hope not

if you add on a Kit you'll slow yourself down with the weight.

but if you just want a show car, then by all means go for it dude!

just dont try to race, ever. Cause if you're running a stock Eclipse with body mods of any kind, you'll get taken out by Harry the UPS truck driver any day of the year.

I say go sleeper with it, 99's dont come with turbos do they? Well, get one. a BIG one the size of that guys ego *points to random guy in crowd* some fatter tires, mayybe some nice rims nothing toooo bling bling and if you like some new speakers just dont go over board with like 34 10" subs and some amps then when your ears are bleeding and im winning ill laugh, but you wont hear it.

its about as unrice as it gets and is well worth it. I think it only adds 22 lbs and it instills 3 FUNCTIONAL brake coolers that can be turned on at will, definently worth the money. Plus with the right paint and styling it looks amazing.
