This is truly interesting. A fellow I talk to on another board has a supercharged mustang putting down 560 rwhp. I thought it would be interesting to overlay the graphs:

It's really an interesting/funny comparison.
My blue graph is my numbers on the original 200K engine (440 rwhp)
and the red is this year's base-line numbers (567 rwhp).
We'll be finishing the tune up soon:

holy hell at the 'stags torque curve, cant really get much better than that.

Power band = whole RPM range.

It's funny, before I saw the curve, he described the torque curve as a "pancake." I'd have to agree.

Mine only "pancakes" from 5000-8500.

It's interesting to note that he makes more torque (area under the curver) than I do, but I make more power (area under the curve) than he does:

Another MR2.

Nice numbers. I didn't know you were making 567whp. That's insane for soo small an engine.

Thats interesting to see. Your MR2 is like a 125 mx bike. A whole lot of power on the top end and then has a steep fall off on both sides of the peak. And have you posted any videos of your newly built MR2? If not.....get some.

may i ask what is your daily driver?

On a daily basis I drive a rusted out 1985 MR2 with a completely hooked up brake and suspension components. It's great on gas, handles like a dream and I could care less where I park it or what kind of dings it gets. :)

Jekyl is a 1991 non-turbo with a body kit, suspension and wheels (rarely driven). Hyde is the beast in this thread.

Nice numbers. I didn't know you were making 567whp. That's insane for soo small an engine.
We are 'only' at 567 because the Stage 5 SPEC clutch could not hold over 400 ft lb so we could not finish tuning. A twin-disc Tilton is on the way and we should see 600rwh[/450ft lbs (guestimate) in the next few weeks.

There have been a LOT of changes to Hyde over the winter. We did well over 35 different mods (and the new engien only counts as one!). It was truly an insane build up.

The write up on the full winter build up is here:

The dyno results, with video, are here:

The first autocross results, with video, are here:
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=559505

There was not much boostsing/power at the autocross event.
Regardless, the new clutch is not in yet so we can't put down full power.

I am autocrossing tomorrow, again next Sunday and then the following weekend. You can expect some awesome footage coming up - especialyl with the new Chase Cam set up we have. ;)

Most likely not until August. Unfortunately there are other things that take a much bigger priority. I have 2 events that I must get to in July and I can't risk bloeing something up drag racing until then.

lol, I've already had my first autocross (see video in my last post above).
I just had my second autocross yesterday and I have another one this Sunday coming up.

My first hillclimb is the weekend after that.

The new autocross footage is going to be cool (can't wait to upload it).
Thanks Chase Cams!

Heard that Jeff. Going drag racing is a good way to tear shit up. Good luck at your 2 events in July though.
