I posted this problem on XOC but thought I would post it here.

Well, my first real problem I couldn't solve myself. Here is what is going on.

My blinkers are working intermittently. Meaning, sometimes when I use them they will flash and other times they do not work at all. I replace the flasher and that did not fix the problem.

The hazards work and when the blinkers are working there are no bulbs burnt out.

Help!!

Is it on only one side? or both? If it is on only one side, try reseating the bulbs. Just a thought.

But since the hazards all work the bulbs must be seated fine.

You might try checking the fuses? I can't remeber if you have one under the dash and/or one under the hood? Do you have any auxillary lights hooke to the turn signals? Like ARB turn signals?

I checked all the fuses. That is one of the first things I do when something electrical is not working correctly. It goes into the shop on Friday. I hope they can reproduce the problem since it is intermittent.

My blinkers always mess up when it is below or near freezing...

problem is I live in Los Angeles so every time I take it in for repair they can't reproduce it. Go figure .. it is not cold in the garage dumb dumb!

Anyone else have this issue.

Note: it also seems to have spread to my 'brake' indicator in my dash. Even tho the brake isn't on. It goes off once the truck warms up.

Brake indicator most likely means you're low on fluid, which in turn typically means your pads are pretty worn. Check the pads, if they're good, add a little fluid. If not, replace the pads and don't add fluid unless it still comes on afterwards (the "missing" fluid is in the wheel cylinders and will get pushed back up to the reservior when the new pads are installed). As the truck warms I think the fluid sloshes easier and keeps the sensor "wet" so the light goes out.

Thanks for that. The brakes are a bit worn. I will have to get that looked at. Could very likely be the issue. Thought it was another issue with the 'cold' similar to the blinkers.
