dashfeb 05-23-2006, 05:15 PM I just came back from the dealership. I noticed that the side of my dash was discoloring and peeling on the drivers side. They are going to replace the dash under warranty. I thought the dash was dyed, but is painted. Has anyone had this problem before? I have been using armorall interior (greaseless in a black bottle). I have used this on all my trucks and no problem so far however I don't think that caused it to peel. feb AdAmN20 05-23-2006, 08:14 PM I don't use Armor All and I dont recommend it to anyone... I always wash my truck, and when I dry it, I use the towel I dried it with to wipe down my interior. But, I don't know why it would have peeled other than the armor all. TexasF355F1 05-23-2006, 08:57 PM I wouldn't use the towel you dried it with. It will still pick up any dirt you missed. I would get a fresh damp towel and wipe it down instead. silveradoHO 05-23-2006, 10:24 PM I been told by interior specialist not to use water based protectant. The reason for this is that, just as water can dry out your skin, they can actually dry out your dash and make them peel and crack. I use Black Magic and I've never had any problems. sportin83 05-24-2006, 01:18 AM i use formula 2001 stays moist and shinny. Slowprocess 05-25-2006, 02:15 PM I had that crap start happening, so I ripped it all out, sanded it all smooth, primed it, painted it, and clearcoated it. Came out pretty good. Only problem is it reflects everything now(including the sun.:sunglasse ) http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/12/web/324000-324999/324858_129_full.jpg Check out the reflection of the water beads that were falling on my windshield. http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/12/web/324000-324999/324858_130_full.jpg vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
