hey all, I just wondered if anyone else here has expeienced this problem. When I am either backing out of a parking spot or driving forward and I turn the wheel sharp and when I press the brake to change gears there is a loud popping noise that comes from the front. Also I dont have to pres the brake all the time to hear the noise it sometimes does it on its own. I thought at first that it was a brake problem but now I am not sure. Any comments would be welcomed. Thanks.

OH by the way it is a 99', 2wd, regular cab with the 4.8 V8. it is also automatic

your splashguards or plasticwheelwell pieces are loose and catching on the tire treads

What size tire/wheels are you running. You're either rubbing what fw said or the air valence, or more then likely the inner wheel well.
