"HELP" My chevy van 30 stalls after running for about one minute, will restart right up again and run for about one minute. replaced the fuel filter and aircleaner and checked the fuel presure, it shows 32 psi which is what the book said it should show. Had ECM checked and is ok. I get no fault codes on the scanner, I cut the exhaust pipe in front of the catalytic converter thinking it was cloged but the engine did the same thing. I can unplug the vacuum line at the engine port for the map sensor and the engine runs fine, replaced map sensor with new one but still having same problem. engine seems to be running rich. Think I will replace the IAC sensor tomorrow, checked it a few minutes ago and I don't get the same ohm reading the book says I should be getting.

:uhoh: Looking for some help with this.

It turn out to be the main computer this time. It is now running better than it every has, this thing must have been going out for some time.http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/icons/icon7.gif

Terry : I am not an expert just a retired auto brake technician and do it yourself guy ... My 88 van with the brand new TBI 305 engine was running very rich and would flood out and stall at idle this happened a short time ago ... I have less than 200 miles on this engine ...I replaced the complete TBI assembly with one from the junkyard I was sure it was a bad injector or bad fuel regulator it just dumped gobs of fuel into the engine smoked like crazy and stalled ...That did not help ... Then I replaced the MAP sensor and temperature sensor with new ones and that cured my flooding problem ... It runs good now and does not Flood out at idle anymore BUT now I am fighting a Spark Knock problem under light load as you can see in my posting just before yours...I just installed a new distributor, new cap and rotor without any improvement and I just bought a new knock sensor at the Zone ....... GOOD LUCK ON THIS ! wish I could help you more with this I know the frustration ! BOB
