Wow, my b16 is making a loud metal pinging noise when my car idles. rpm's and everything look ok, and my knock sensor is showing nothing. Any ideas? Oh yeah, it sounds like someone's hitting a school locker with a giant spoon.

Dude i heard the same thing after rebuilding a D15b2 for our beater car. Can you tell where its coming from? With us it only happened when we put the clutch in... atleast i think so, its been a while. We thought it was coming from the flywheel dust cover but before we could find the problem it went away. I'd say jack the car on 4 jack stands to keep it level, start the car and try to pin-point where the noise is coming from. That's the first step to finding the solution, just try to have some friends helping cause it's always good when things go wrong.
