how to put my 104's sparks in my car? I see the 3 plugs in the front are the other 3 in the back? I tryed looking in the back I saw 2 things that looked like the ones in the front only they had some kind of metal on them but I just can't find them...and if they are in the back it doesn't look like I can reach them.

you can acess the 3 rear plugs from the bottom of the car easier. they have metal heat shields on them and the fronts do not. be careful not to overtighten the plugs and not to get any dirt in the cylinder when you remove the old ones. it helps alot to have one of these-

96Riv,

Could you please stop over tomorrow with that swivel rachet? I'm doing my plugs and wires, and I sure could use it! :) I know those back ones are a real PIA... I pulled the #2 one a while back to check it because of a missfire, and now I know it was the wires.

the plugs are pretty easy from underneath should take 10 - 15 mins tops

You are correct sir! I finished the plugs and wires today, and it probably took me about an hour total. I didn't need a swivel ratchet, just a short and medium extention an I was in business. Got rid of my misfire and have much better punch off the line! :)

Graygoose, I was wondering why you are putting Autolite plugs in your GM vehicle? I use nothing but AC Delco stuff in all my GMs as I have had nothing but problems with anything else.

it is recommended to get autolite 104's only if you mod. if you get a 3.4 ich pulley its best to get autolite 104's because they are 2 ranges cooler then stock plugs the copper core in them let heat escape easier from the engine therefore preventing knock. knock will decrease horsepower when the pcm detects it. the pcm detects it when you don't.knock usally comes most when you hit the gas the pcm will pick up knock and imediately knocks off horsepower to stop the knock. so if you mod you riviera, gtp or regal say like a 3.4 ich pulley, the pulley turns faster at more RPM's and causes your engine to heat faster so that why its the 104 is the best choice because it has the 2 ranges cooler to prevent knock and still has good spark aslo recomended to get a 180 t-stat which aids in engine knocking and over heating.the 180 and the 104 sparks can bring back lost horsepower. this site talks all about modding and will talk about how the 104's are the best choice for this car. http://www.regalgs.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26380&sid=593d35a623e74c3741e8c6154596d302

i think it might be a good idea for you to have someone work on your car for you if you can find the spark plugs.

Sweet I Got my spark plugs in,t-stat and my 3.4 ich pulley yay. the sparks were kind of tough to get to, but the toughest was they were screwed on tighter then I ever seen and I hardly had any room to get leverage one of the spark plugs broke trying to get it off.

so far I got costom fender well intake,3.4 ich pulley, flowmaster mufflers, costom halo rims, new tires, new brakes, autolite 104's, blue headlights, bigger and thicker radiator for cooler running,180 t-stat,new rotors, cooling system, oil pan, aliments, and rotates, new stunts and shocks, transmissions flush and fluid, power steering fluid and hoses, fuel system tune up,high quality fuel filter/oil filter, throttle body cleaner,,costom interior lights, costom shift knob and neons, costom 30 ich logo on rear window says "supercharged",racing steering wheel cover, new supercharger oil, tune up,thats all I can think of right now but there are more thats not worth putting on here such as labor from good year on some of this stuff.................................TOTAL COST!! about 4,500 and payed 3,700 for the car itself...total= 8,200 man I must really love my car.........!
