Jeremy Clarkson tests the Vette Z06 (I love how they say "zed" in place of "zee") and actually likes the car, well, at least on a track he likes it. Here's the vid.

ooooooooooooooooooo I've been waiting for this since the debute of the C6Z06.

They disliked the C6 Z51 car last year... said it was horrid. I just think they don't like American sports cars... hehe I don't blame them really... they are a bit crappy in comparison to european/japanese counterparts.

Man, I love that car.

It got around the Top Gear track in half a second or faster than the Ferrari F430, Lambo Murcielago, and the Zonda. It was only .1 seconds slower than the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, thats pretty freakin sweet.

I find it pretty funny though when he said its too wide yet he owns a Ford GT, which I'm pretty sure is wider. And the sat-nav had me rolling with the fast food restaurants, "It can't find London, it can't find France, but it'll find you a burger!."

yea but don't forget he caused a traffic jam getting stuck on a bridge in london in the GT40 ....

and hasn't he sold it cuz he had enough of all the problems? I think he has a SLK AMG or something iono

The greabox feels like it was pulled out of a tractor...Really? I was really suprised from that comment as I though the 6 Speed on the Vette was the only good manual gearbox GM still has left.....and if the gearbox is so bad on the road, how do you not notice it on the track?

Jeremy has shit load of cars, and according to the first episode which aired last week, he still has the GT, but that might have changed since they taped the show, iono.

Just watched the whole episode, they had the Dodge Caliber in the news segment, lets just say they don't like it.

Yet you wouldnt wear out your leg in heavy traffic because the engine has so much torque you dont have to be careful with the clutch. Road noise could be fixe by adding 25lbs of deadener and the sound system could be fixed very easilly as well.

and i too am doubting the gearbox problems since a rought gearbox is worse on the track than on the street. The show (though a great one) is biassed to european cars so they had to come up with SOMETHING to complain about. I per sonnally think the z06 looks better than the c6. all performance and no bull shit.
