There is a sticky thread here in the forum you might want to take a look at. In al lseriousness, if you want the best performance, get rid of the Hypertech and get a custom tune from Nelson.

Too much for a truck with only a cat-back Gibson Exhaust - Super Truck (http://www.autoanything.com/exhausts-mufflers/61A1900A0A0.aspx)

also the shift points should be RPM not MPH and the Shift Firmness (25% to 100%)

I tried it today with:
5400 Rev limit
Top speed H 128mph
shift points stock
Shift Firmness 25%

was Ok but it cut-off in the first gear when reash the 5400RPM

Thanks guy for your replies

Yeah I was going to say the best setting woud be setting it back down on the shelf at AutoZone and springing for the Nelson Tune - you won't be sorry you did. He can do things HyperTech can't touch.

I wish I could tune it by Nelson but unfortunately I'm outside the US continent.
So I only get the stuff from the Internet.

Thanking you for the help again

Why do you have a 5400 rev limit? Factory is 5900. I have mine tuned for 6100. My 1-2 is at 5800, 2-3 at 5600.

Be careful if you're setting the rev limiter higher then 5900. I had my shift points and rev limiter set all f'ed up and I over-revved my engine.

This what I received from the techsupport@hypertech

The only option that increases power is choosing Yes to our Power Tuning for 87 or 93 octane fuels. The 93 setting is the most aggressive and there must be 93 octane in the tank. The shift point adjustments only affect wide open throttle shifts. +3 on the 1-2 shift and +6 on the 2-3 shift are good starting points. At wide open throttle on the 3-4 shift you are traveling at a high rate of speed and most never see the 3-4 shift at WOT. You can go as high as +8-9 on the 3-4 shift if you like. Be sure to move the rev limiter up to at least 6100 rpm to get it out of the way. It will shift before hitting the rev limiter with these settings.

Thanks All

That's about what I told you. I have a hypertech for my 2005 and the settings I suggested work great. Why did you say the shift points should be by RPM's if Hypertech goes by mph? I don't know if yours if different, but mine only had the option of shift firmness on or off, it didn't give percentages.
