how do i make my truck louder? its an 89' 3.0 v6. i have flowmaster muffler but its pretty qiuet. is it because of my catylitic converter? also, would a k&n air filter help a little?

I have a k&n short ram intake, and its loud, also I have a 3" exhaust piping, catback from Jardine, and its to loud for my tastes.
So try switching mufflers or pipes.

just cutting out your cat would make it louder. my toyota has a 22r and the exaughst goes from the exaughst manifold to the stock pipe then to the cat and ends right under the driver seat with a glass-pack muffler. and mine is loud but not really loud.
