What's the general consensus on K&N air filters? I've been told that they increase the flow of air into the engine, improving its performance. How do they compare to Fram's Air Hog? Are either worth the money? Where are they the cheapest for a 2000 Trooper?

Thanks.

Hi,
I installed one in my 2002 Trooper 2 months ago and the mileage is about the same (maybe a touch better highway) but I did notice the acceleration felt stronger, same in my other truck (1995 Nissan V6). you will always have people going one way or the other on the k&n filter issue, I like them and will always use one in any car I have. Every car responds differently to them, so you have to try it yourself.
