Most people call it a coolant elbow but it is called the Heater Water Bypass inlet pipe. Each end of the plastic elbow is grooved for an o-ring. So it is a push on/pull off fit. However, to replace it the tensioner must be removed since it connects between the lower intake manifold and tensioner assembly which means you'll need to remove the drive belt and alternator, etc. too.

Companies like Dorman and Motormite make replacements that cost cost well under $10.00.

Thanx, Yeah i got it on finally, when i took the old one off i got a crow bar and broke it, and i tought i could just push the new one back in there, I went though 3 diffent kind < and then i just starting cuting them in half and put a small radiator hose to connect them ( but that diddnt work under pressure) and finally i look on here Auto Forum and followed, I had to Take the Alernator and the tension pully to put that lilttle bastard on well both of them b/cuz its two but thanks bnaylor

I have a question off the subject, But my car is makeing a poppin sound, it sound like it from the intake when i get in the high RMP only, what could it be, Could it be my IAT sensor or is my filter to big< b/cuz i have a big cone filter on at (GT). It shift and speed up alright but when it makeing that popping sound it boggs out a little intil it shifts and then it alright intl if get up to about 4500 rpm again

Since you are running a K&N style cone filter, you might try cleaning the MAF sensor with electrical contact cleaner or MAF sensor spray cleaner (Gunk brand). Maybe it was contaminated with the filter oil. On the IAT sensor about all you can do is make sure it is mounted properly and the electrical connector is tight. To check it you can ohm it out with a multimeter.

Also, is the throttle body screen in or out?

My screen is out, it been out for some years now, but this problem just started, I will try clean the MAF, But what do i do just spray it on the MAF of do i have to take it out. And what this Resistor you can put in your IAT, Do you know anything about it, Does it work or is it worth it< it says if supposed to make you car think it gettin air< but that will hurt your Gas Mileage and I dont know about where your at but here gas is about 2.89

I tried everythin and it still doesnt arm when i lock the doors < i just added a Keyless enty with remote starter < and it has a alram wire> My factoy keypad arms the alarm but i'm tryin to get this on to arm it< do you know where> that wire is what color or what to do Anybody

Since you have the throttle body screen out you can just spray the black plastic part hanging down inside the throttle body input which has the hotwire element. After spraying let it air dry.

Those resistors change the resistance value of the IAT to fool the PCM into thinking the intake air is cooler supposedly giving a performance increase. I would not recommend using one. I've heard it doesn't help fuel economy and may make it worse.

Do you know about the factory Alram wire is on the Grand Prix< it say the Dark green wire on the Drivers Strut tower, But where exactly is this wire< under the hood right. I tired everyone of the green one but it still wont arm. I have a Keyless enty with Remote Starter with it.

First thing you'll need to do is see if there is any air in the cooling system by bleeding it. If that doesn't work then remove and clean the coolant level sensor located about 3 inches below the radiator cap/filler neck. See pic below:

Yes it isnt any air in the system i already tried that, But when i done that i broke the little brass bleeder bolt so i cant bleed it again inless theres another way, But i will check to see if it needs cleaning, I have to take the battery out dont i, Do you know anything about the Factory Alram arm wire.
