that turbo kit

i think it is about time to get one of those turbo kits. but i got ?'s. my ride has 120k on it now, it runs great but would i need a rebuild if i got a turbo? they make it sound like you can just slap it on and go but i know its gotta be more than that. does anyone have one of these kits?
