2000 Tranny won't go into reverse or driveorangejbird 05-10-2006, 04:27 PM My daughters 2000 5.3. Makes a whirring sound in park, reverse and neutral. In drive it will go but not shift out of 1st. From what I understand, the part is cheap, but the labor - if it's not a rebuild, it costs like it may as well be.
