92 3.1L rocker arms

Does anyone know the proper toruqe specs or the best way to set up the rocker arm on a 92 3.1L grand prix. My book say 14 to 22 lbs but that does not seem to work .

That is a zero lash motor, so that spec should be about correct (Haynes manual shows 20 ft/lbs) Make sure that you have the push rods in correctly. The intake and exhaust push rods are different length, so if you have them installed incorrectly, you'll never get them right.
