94 GC going into limp mode intermittently. Already replaced the solenoid pack and both input and output speed sensors. How often do the transmission control modules fail in these things? I want to try a different one but don't want to throw money at it. Has 50,000 miles on reman chrysler tranny. I put ATF+4 in it on both of the fluid changes I did. From what I've been reading on some forums, it is okay to use the +4 in almost all of the chrysler transmissions. True? Any ideas very helpful.

Check the input and output speed sensor pigtails. This was a known problem on these trannys early on and would cause your symptoms.

Most of what I've read on ATF-4 says yes you should use it in all cases where it calls for either ATF-3 or-4. Try calling 3-4 dealerships and see if they agree.
