1994 grand prix losing power

Driving my '94 grand prix at around 25-40km/h with constant throttle, then all of a sudden the car will lose all power, pumping the gas has no effect, then a few seconds later the car will jumpstart again and retake the gas. Plugs and wires replaced 3 weeks ago; and replaced egr valve (used) about 3 weeks ago. Car ran fine until recently.
Any suggestions to this problem.

Did you get a check engine light? It sounds like a bad CPS (Crankshaft Position Sensor) or ignition module to me. If no code is stored, you need to check for spark and proper fuel pressure. Normally a bad CPS will trip a code, but not always. If you have an Advance Auto or Auto Zone in your area, they can test the ignition module for free. Fuel pressure at the fuel rail should be 31-35 psi, key on/engine off. When you start the car, it should drop a few psi, then increase slightly as RPM increases.

Your symptoms were similar to the ones I experienced 6 months ago with my '98 GTP. It turned out to be a faulty MAF sensor. I recall that it cost a few hundred $ for a new one.
