Careers after CollegeMr Wiggl3s 05-07-2006, 10:01 PM What do yall think are some good jobs for someone with a Diploma in general automotive mechanics I was thinking about specializing on some specific part, but i dont know yet. So what do yall think would be good choice? quteasabutton 05-07-2006, 10:11 PM for a different approach on it you could be a high school auto mechanics teacher. Mr Wiggl3s 05-08-2006, 12:18 AM I actually thought about that, but they pay would be horrible, i wouldn't have enough to restore anything Chiquae07 05-08-2006, 12:30 AM y dont you become a mechanical enginneer, then go back for 2 more years and become a patent engineer. thats like 6 figures right there.... Mr Wiggl3s 05-08-2006, 06:26 PM Ya, thought about that also. But thats going to mean i have to get me some smarts.. alota smarts Is there a market for just resorting 1950-present cars? Chiquae07 05-08-2006, 11:39 PM if anyone would know, i think it would be redneck383 o w/e the name is. i think you could just get a major in automechanics, just specialize in body work and detailing. that should do it. mostly. Mr Wiggl3s 05-09-2006, 04:50 PM Im not really into the body work, but my friend is, hes going for auto body + collision repair -The Stig- 05-09-2006, 07:34 PM Yes there's a market for restoring older cars, but the market is flooded with shops that specialised in it. You could learn the trade, and work at one of those places for a few years, get your bearings and venture off on your own. Good luck. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
