I almost T-boned an M3 while auto-xing. Video inside

I went autocrossing today with the Windy City Miata Club at the Tire Rack in South Bend, and I almost ended up t-boning an M3, because the workers sent him off a bit late. Watch the video:

I'm not sure which is worse:
*that cars could have remotely come that close to each other on course
or
*that they actually allowed you to autocross with someone hand-holding a camera

I would really not recommend you ever do that again :(

Yeah, had you hit and the airbag went off your passenger would have been dead. I thought cameras had to be mounted according to SCCA rules?

SCCA does require that cameras are mounted (and should be strapped as well!), but this was not an SCCA event. He said he was running with a car club.
