Heating problematyoungblood 04-27-2006, 10:58 PM I have a 96 Probe SE sitting aroung and heating took a shit. Well I can hear the rods move when I turn the hot/cold knob and the one to switch where it comes out of. Now the one know that you can change from 1, 2, 3, and 4, doesn't click anymore. Thkis car has a/c, I'm thinking blower motor or heater core, but I'm not sure. I'm not gonna buy the part until I know it's the right thing. Any ideas? If you got anything please leave a note. Thanks. KimMG 04-29-2006, 05:06 AM Check the coolant level. Check the hoses going to the heater core, if they are both hot then water is circulating in the heater core. Check the blend door to make sure it is opening allowing warm air from the heater core. The switch that has 1,2,3,4 ,is that the switch that controls the fan speed? Something internally may have broken in the switch. By pass the switch to see if the blower motor works. Look at a wiring diagram to determine what wires need to be connected to bypass the switch. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
