99 Nissan Altima, car bucking, oil gasoline smellttoommssmmiitthh 04-26-2006, 11:39 PM I have a 99 Nissan Altima. It has 76k miles on it. The other day I was driving and my car was bucking, well more like punching. Either way it was a very slight buck almost sounded/felt like the engine wasnt getting gasoline, especailly when I pushed it a little. I smelled my oil and it had a strong sent of gasoline. I believe it is a fuel injector, but im not sure if its a that or the seals. Any suggestions? Thanks jserrano 04-28-2006, 03:34 PM Check the conditions of the spark plugs and also check to see if any cylinder is running rich. Other things to check are O2, MAF, fuel pressure, ECT, and fuel injector. FixUrNissan 04-28-2006, 09:21 PM A Couple things you can check are to see if you have oil in your spark plug galleys , If you do your valve cover gasket needs to be changed. Another thing i have seen is the distributor. You could be experiencing sighs of failure. Remove distributor cap and check to see if yo have oil in there , if you do , you need a distributor. Try those 2 things , if they are no help , Feel free to ask for more info and i do what i can to help ..
