HIDs for non-hid 02+ altimaSaki0 04-26-2006, 01:47 PM I was just wondering what would be involved in adding hid's to a non-hid altima. Im guessing they use different headlight assemblies but with the wiring and all that I dont know.Thanks. EP FAUguy 04-26-2006, 08:52 PM To add "real" HID lights, it's going to cost a few hundred $$$. The old bulbs have to come out. Then you have to buy a HID kit and have it professionally installed. It includes the electrical wires, ballasts, HID bulbs, and mountings. http://www.car-gym.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=65_25&products_id=66 I don't think it's worth it. Just replace the factory bulbs with a bulb that is "equivalent" to a HID. I got an 06 Altima and replaced the factory H1 bulb with the PIAA H1 Extreme Force from here: http://www.car-gym.com/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=10&products_id=34 Granted it won't be as powerful of a light as a true HID bulb, but does make an improvement over the standard factory bulb. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
