How good are Azteks?

So I'm looking through Wheels For You for a Blazer/Jimmy, and come across an Aztek. I think those are freaking awesome, more so than a Blazer. AND, it's in my price range. However, because of the hail storm, the lot had moved all their inventory to a garage so I couldn't see it.

Downside, 03 with 100k. Some questions....how long do these things run? Should I even consider it because of the 100k. I'm lookin at 80k and down Blazers. I've only been inside one once, but from what I remember, it was VERY nice. Anyone got some good pictures? Google ain't that great.

I don't know very much about it, but Wednesday I'm going to drop by and check it out. So what I'm asking for is just some info on the Azteks. I really like them, but don't want to waste my time on this if they aren't worth it. These aren't very common around here, so I wan't to act quick if its a good vehcile.

We love our Aztek. Those 100,000 miles are most likely highway miles, so I would say that if cosmetics, electronics & everything else works and is in good shape it would be a good purchase. Make sure to check the A/C as they had tendency to
go bad. Also ask if they have had the gasket work done.

Yes, if you are seriously considering purchasing this vehicle, have it inspected for seal leaks/cracks and gasket problems as that is the main issue that the 3.4 has had in the past. It is an overall good engine so as long as you're not looking to hot rod the thing, it should last with regular maintenance and proper treatment.

transmissons are the weak link here. I would keep 1.5-2K in my back pocket at all times. just my 2cents

I regret the day my wife got hers we have had nothing but problems,MAJOR PROBLEMS! but in all fairness Im finding these are not model specific. If I could do it over again I would stay away from any GM product with a 3.4l,or any awd GM. product. The list is as follows, a/c condenser @ 39,k upper & lower intake gaskets, both head gaskets, also @ 39k wheel bearing assy. @ 45K electrical problems, bcm which is located under cup holder (nice designing on that one huh) all these of which are not cheap repairs. I have always been a loyal GM owner this automobile has soured me for life for the plain fact that GM are doing nothing about it except making there dealerships rich off of repair money. So I would advise you to STAY AWAY unless you want to throw your money away on repairs.

Don't do it unless you like the repair shop and have tonnes of money.
