96 Plymouth Neon Won't StartQuixano 04-24-2006, 01:30 PM My neon recently quit on me. Before it went out it sounded like that battery was going dead, as if it was weak. I drove to the gas station to fill up and when I went to crank it, it wouldn't start. I called someone who told me to wiggle a seemingly coiled copper wire. I did and it started but now its stopped again and wiggling that wire doesnt have any effect. Does anyone have a solution or at least know what the problem is. das2123 04-24-2006, 02:54 PM Get the battery checked and make sure your connections are tight. Also check for any corrosion on the terminals and clean them so that they are nice and shiny. The neon is real sensitive to battery corrosion and connection. Quixano 04-24-2006, 03:44 PM I went to autozone and got the battery tested and charged so its good. I'll clean it free of corrosion and gunk, but whatever that coiled copper wire is seems to be the factor. das2123 04-25-2006, 08:59 AM that coiled copper wire is seems to be the factor. Can you get a pic of this wire and post it? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
