Alarm on Town & Countryoldbill2001 04-24-2006, 09:22 AM Hi there all, I live in Spain and I've just found this forum and need some help. I have a 2005 Grand Voyager (stow n' go) which I believe is the same model as your Town & Country? My problem is 'should there be some sort of audible/visual sign when I lock/unlock the car via the remote?' My Spanish is very limited and I can't get much sense out of the dealership where I bought the vehicle new. The handbook is in spanish and an english version is on order. Any help would be appreciated. draasch 04-24-2006, 12:51 PM if its a factory systems, most of them only make a noise when you lock the doors twice with the remote. the domelight may turn on when you unlock the doors....... oldbill2001 04-24-2006, 01:10 PM Hi draasch, It doesn't make any noise whether i click once or twice. I've even set the alarm with the remote and unlocked it with the key and no alarm sounds, any suggestions? draasch 04-24-2006, 01:47 PM i just talked to a dealer here in the states......they said all of those items have to be programmed at the dealer. they said to go to this site: http://www.daimlerchrysler.com/ they will be able to help you setup something with the dealer in spain and may be able to help with the translator. post what u are able top find out................ Bernard Feltzer 04-25-2006, 03:44 AM On the 2005, you can get the horn to beep and the headlights to flash with the remote. You can do the programming your self, instructions in the owner's manual. My horn beeped, but I turned it off, I left the headlights flash once on. oldbill2001 04-25-2006, 07:45 AM Thanks guys for all your help, guess I'll just wait until my english handbook arrives!! Clive Stretch58 04-25-2006, 10:16 PM Clive--My 2000 had been programmed to honk the horn when I locked the car with the remote. In the handbook there are procedures to reprogram that and several other items to suit the owner. In my case, I did not want the horn to sound everytime I locked it, so I reprogrammed it to only do the interior lights. Your handbook should have all the info. Regards Stretch Thanks guys for all your help, guess I'll just wait until my english handbook arrives!! Clive vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
