3400 sfi swap vs 3.1 turbo..

First off wasup all, (newbi of course)...I own a 2 door 92 SE GP, and I can accomplish two things either a 3400 sfi swap or equip the 3.1 mpfi v6 with a turbo and all other accessories from and engineered performance company. It's hard for me to decided which one would honestly be worth having. Here is the prices he threw at me

(a.) 3400 sfi swap:
est of $2,500

(b.) 3.1 turbo:
est of $ 1,500

what is making this decision hard is the advantages and disadvantages I can have with the 3400 or the 3.1, for instance...

3400 sfi swap (advantages):

* just with the swap I have at least 170 or 180 hp
(Alero 3400sfi)
170 hp @ 4800 rpm
205 lb.ft @ 4000 rpm

*with a turbo pushing just 30hp, hp could easily be past the 200 and
torque of course being more but kicking in at a good 4000 rpm (ok street racing rpm but good highway raceing rpm)

3400 sfi swap (disadvantages):

*this engine from doing a lot of research is reliable but not as reliable as the 3.1

*$2,500 is alot of money! for a person with a budget

3.1 turbo (advantages:)
(GP 3.1mpfi)
140 hp @ 4400 rpm (mine goes a little higher)
185 hp @ 3200 rpm

*plan and simple 3.1 mpfi v6's are as reliable as a honda engine unless you don't do your part (which takes alot of that) same rule applies to any engine.

*Torque!, the 3.1 can actually blow a stock 3.4 off the line since it's torque kicks in so early, with a turbo it increases that fact.

*$1,500 is still up there but within my range.

3.1 turbo (disadvantages)

*it's more about traffic light stops then highway passes

*the 3.4 is just and all around stronger motor, so I would have to play catch up (an expensive game to play)

...that's just a few main things that make it really hard to choose,so I just wanted someone else's opinion I appreciate any response.
