Need a tune??? 1FASTws6 04-17-2006, 07:59 PM
Do i need a tune after headers. I heard that a tuned car after headers gains 5-10hp and torque as opposed to a car w/o it. Is this true??? And will my gas milage go up or down or stay the same. AND can you tune it with HP Tuners, LS1 edit, EFIlive, etc.... Or do u need a dyno tune. Mr. Luos 04-17-2006, 08:07 PM When you dyno tune...you use EFILive, HPTuners, or LS1Edit to tune. Use the dyno to maximize power. You will gain 5-10 RWHP with a good tune. Most of the time...when talking about getting a tune done, I am refering to a dyno tune. Now...is 5-10 RWHP worth $450+??? 1FASTws6 04-17-2006, 08:10 PM wait so hold on... But that software is sold to the public. So if i know some1 with the same year and model of my car, can they tune it for me and i get the same HP Mr. Luos 04-17-2006, 08:46 PM HPTuners...yes. LS1Edit locks into the VIN I believe, unless you tuner has an open key. Not sure about EFILive. There are a few random guys that are good tuners. But overall most are learning it. They might get you a little more power, but not like an experienced tuner would get you. DarkblueTA 04-18-2006, 10:20 PM HPTuners...yes. Jeremy >>>>>>>>> me but I'm not that bad. :) Mr. Luos 04-18-2006, 10:35 PM Well that is never any good. Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
