94' Grand Cherokee Power Windows dead!jordan69s 04-17-2006, 10:49 AM I know this car well since I have done the work myself, from changing the time belt to replacing the transmission. The electrical is the one I am not familiar with. I have the Haynes Repair manual for it but it gives a generic answer regarding fuses and relays that the car might have. I was wondering if someone could tell me what fuse (if any), or what relay to check for this. Is the relay on the right hand side panel (I found 3 of them there), or is there a power distribution somewhere in the front that I should look for. The power windows died open, no noise or tremble... just dead! legalfee 04-17-2006, 01:25 PM I've got a power window block diagram and wiring diagram in Acrobat PDF format. If you want them let me know your e-mail address and I'll send them to you. SJ jordan69s 04-17-2006, 04:17 PM That would be much appreciated, please e-mail me at sweetluis@gmail.com Also, I think I have to replace the main switch from the driver side. I got it out, and now the windows are closing and opening but only from this unit. The other 3 switches have no control over their windows.... I am hopping i can find a used one since I am sure it is a costly part... hardisk_c 04-18-2006, 03:02 AM Just a suggestion before you start tearing into door door switch modules. . . try checking the integrity of the wires running between the door and the body, over time those get brittle and fray/snap. my 94 had 3 wires that were snapped and 2 that were frayed and had the similar situation (it was almost like the lockout button was shorting out, only the driver's side controls operated any windows). Anyways, that's my :2cents: laser1169 05-13-2006, 08:35 PM I have the same problem, :banghead: however replacing the drivers window switch assembly did absolutly nothing and I have checked the breaker. I am not able to find any relays so if possible I would like to get a copy of the diagram also. my email is strent@wowway.com and any other suggestions. Thanks Laser laser1169 05-13-2006, 10:43 PM :grinyes: Thank you for the tip about the wires in the door boot, about half were either broken, cracked, or frayed. I repaired all the broken ones and gee my windows work again! Laser diedeer 05-14-2006, 12:46 AM I've got a power window block diagram and wiring diagram in Acrobat PDF format. Thanx brobb34@yahoo.com 2fords1jeep 03-21-2007, 09:37 PM My guess is you have broken wire in the harness going to the driver's door. This harness is in the accordian looking rubber boot in the door jamb area. It's very common for wires to break from the constant movement everytime the door opens and closes. bugheman 10-14-2007, 11:45 AM I've got a power window block diagram and wiring diagram in Acrobat PDF format.
