:banghead: here's the situation i have a 91 escort 1.9 liter. it has no mechanical ignition system. went to start car other day started ran fine for a bout a minute and then just died like i turned the key off. first i checked the spark no spark at all then i checked the edis, passed autozone test 5 times so its fine then i changed coil pack still no spark. now keep in mind it turns over great just no spark has plenty of gas by the way checked voltage coming from coil pack to rule out plug wires. now when i go to crank the engine over i noticed that i had no dummy lights light up when i turn key. you know how they are supposed to all light up before the car starts well they don't. and i also noticed that the turn signals will not turn on but the hazards will. the factory radio is reading 0:00 on the clock.and the fan starts running as soon as i turn key on. went through the wiring schematic and came to the constant control relay module. but i have no idea where to find this on the car or even if this is the problem. have also ran across something called ecm relay but same thing don't know where to find or if its the problem. also could a bad water temp sensor be the culprit because i checked water and it was a little low but car wasn't running hot. any help would be appreciated

Thanks for your time

The relays you mention are found in the fuse panel under the hood.

i own a 95 ford escort LX and my buddy owns a 91 mercury tracer (same motor)

try checking out the crank angle sensor and your distibuletless ignition computer.
