I have a 1997 Malibu in which the ignition switch doesn't turn. I was told that if I can get it to turn, then I can depress the release tab to slide out and replace. Unfortunately, it doesn't turn. Any ideas on how to remove without destroying the car??

It will not turn at all or you have trouble getting it to turn even with jiggles? usually, you can slide it in and out and jiggle at the same time and eventually it will turn and start.
