corvette exhaust evosi 04-14-2006, 07:42 PM
I have a friend with a 99 corvette coupe with a 6-sp manual. He wants to get an exhaust system put in the car but doesn't know what kind to get.....can you help? (i.e. Borla, Magnaflow, Triflow...) He wants it to give it that nice deep throaty sound and of course better performance. Thanks WEF 04-23-2006, 05:39 PM I have a friend with a 99 corvette coupe with a 6-sp manual. Thanks REPLY: Tell your friend to be careful cause some make a droan/heavy hum noise at certain rpms like the BandB Route 66 catbacks do. Tell him to listen to each one and preferably test drive a car with them on before he buys. Corvette85 08-16-2006, 10:19 AM I replaced the exhaust on my 85. We put Flowmasters on it and they sound good. They have the deep sound, but not loud enough where you can't talk in the car. imabballer 08-16-2006, 03:29 PM Don't know about the sound of each one, but corsa will give you the best performance upgrade. After all, they're the only ones the legend uses..... www.lingenfelter.com Blue85 08-16-2006, 09:50 PM got a 90 with cat back Borla stainless. Reverb and resonence will drive me out of car above 60 mph. Just put Flowmaster 50 series on my 85 get the growl i want when i get into it. On highway i get the 60ish throaty sound i want Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
