I have a 93 JGC w/ a auto tranny and 4.0
Once I start mj jeep I can not move the shifter out of park.
What I have done is shut off / lock steering wheel / restart.
some times this works and some times it does not work.
The button does not depress to allow mw to shift out of park.
I am thinking this is a brake pedal sensor??
Thanks
Doug

It's a safety switch to prevent puttin in gear unless your foot is on brake pedal. Dale

Usually it's activated by the brake pedal itself, up near the firewall.
