Hi guys, My driver side window doesnt seal itself. When i close the door or open it, It doesn't slide up or down. Sometimes when car is high rpm and i hit a dump, it works fine and seals itself. Does it has to do with the alternator, maybe not gettin enough voltage and low rpm.

how's the window for going up and down? does it go all the way smoothly? or is it kinda jerky, and you need to work the switch a bit?
on my 325i , i've found that the contacts in the switch itself can get worn a bit, you can pop the switch out, and take it apart and clean the contact points up a bit, put it all back together, and it works fine, or buy a new switch, not sure of the cost of one either!

Hi . i am assuming you have a convertable or a coupe. Some times the door striker on the body (the part that your door actually latches to on the body) gets worn out because it has a micro switch in it. Take your finger and close the door latch manually then push the microswitch on the striker and see if the window moves up .if it does then that is your problem. As a precaution try this on both left and right hand doors.
