So I haven't really gotten a ton of races recently. I just can't get people to race. Like last night, I paced a riced to all hell Honda Civic for a good two or three miles, but couldn't get him to go...and then he saw a riced out Eclipse and jumped all the fuck over it. I think I'm just ognna get some neons and huge wing and Wal Mart spinners. Anyways, I digress.

I finally was able to find a race last night. Mazda RX-8. I really didn't wanna waste the gas considering I knew I would beat it, but he was willing to put down $50 on it, and I was like...I just cant pass that up. Thats perfectly good drinking money.

Anyways, we agree to go from a dig and we would meet up at around 11:30-midnightish to go. I go out to the spot and wait a bit for him to show up, and he finally does. He brought along a buddy to flag us, and to hold the cash. I'm normally pretty wery about such situations, but this time I was up for it. So we mark off a start line, and I pull up to it, only to watch him in my rearview mirror rev the shit out of his car, and nuetral drop it. His car makes a horrible grinding noise, lurches forward with a light chirp of the tires, and he pulls up next to me. I had my window down, and look over with a what the hell just happened look, and he was like...dude, you should do that, warms up your tires and gives you better traction, saw it on TV. Oh god no.

Now, as stated above, I knew I was gonna win this race. Why? Well, for one it was an auto, and two, earlier the guy had said, and I quote him on this one directly "I dunno if I should run it, I don't think I can handle the power." After that though, I knew I was gonna smoke him.

So he lines up after some rev show or something, and starts reving the shit outa his car, and I'm just power braking to about two grand, nothing that big. His buddy points and starts doing this spool it up motion with his hands, and I'm just like...wha'?

Anyways, flagger finally drops his arms, and home boy in the RX-8 does it again, nuetral dropping from some high ass rev. I get a decent launch while he just kinda sputters forward for a second while his tranny asks God what it did to deserve this, and I fly off, putting a good three or four lengths on him by the time I hit 90. Take it up to 110, and let off, turn around and head back. He sees me turning around, so in defeat, he does the same. I collect the cash, and I really think he just broke something. It smelled horrible, like someone had died, come back from the dead to go roll in elephant feces, then died again, and was making a sound even a rotary shouldn't make (To paraphrase Red...you mean it was running?)

He comes up with some rice excuse of how he lost, and I just ignore him, collect my cash, and leave him there trying to figure out what the hell was wrong with his car. Decent night even if I only got one race and had to drive like, thirty miles to get it, cuz I got fifty bucks to drink with.

man... N bombs with an auto. I thought nobody did that anymore... crazy.

Mabye I missed something. Does this guy have a button that he can hit to make it go from an RX-8 to an RX-7???? Nice kill though.

No, but he wishes he had an Rx7... Cassie just gave him an upgrade in mid race, still didn't help. :lol:

For those of you entering this thread for the first time this is what Cassie said in his post before he edited it (notice it says edited @...). In the beggining it was an RX-8 and then an RX-7. How did he do it. :eek:

Sounds like you raced an idiot. I remember doing neutral drops in a Corolla. Back then I was 16. Pretty foolish I know.

If that guy honestly told you that he didn't think he could handle the power he must've stepped up from a Yugo to the RX8, cause those cars really aren't fast IMHO. Now the RX7's were a totally different breed though.

I don't act like my car is fast. I'll be the first to admit my car is slow. Its one of the slower cars on here. But then, thats not saying much seeing how many slow cars are on here.

sorry man, the cpd is cracking down on ricers, so the street racers get hit too. Partly my fault, i havent' been anywhere around the racing scene for 3 months.
