I was trying to replace my wife’s radiator today. She has an automatic 1995 Jeep grand Cherokee. I started to take all the screws off then I noticed that the radiator had two small metal hoses running into the radiator. I unscrewed one of them and red oil came out of their.

Can anyone please tell me what it is, before I cause some damage?

Thank you in advance,

-J

Transmission Fluid. There is usually an "embedded" transmission fluid cooler in the radiator.

Take Care,

Thank you greg,

I was starting to freak out, this is the first time I see the transmition connected to the radiator. But it actually makes a lot of sense.

Thank you again, Greg.

lol have no fear.
Just be real careful with them cause the connection can be ruined easily. These lines are expensive,

and use teflon tape on the compression nuts before you thread them back in it'll prevent leaking also use a tubing wrench or "Flare-nut" wrench on them when ever possible the nuts are made of a soft steel or brass and easily round off.
