Can I Reduce Noise At High Speeds 97 Escort[iV]Kermit 04-07-2006, 11:23 AM A couple of times a year I take my 97 Escort on trips because it has great fuel economy. However, while driving on the interstates the car gets quite loud due to wind, etc. I notice that when I drive my 93 Isuzu Trooper at high speeds that it does not do this as it has some sort of strip on the door and the car the prevents noise from entering the cab. Is there something I can buy and install for my Escort to reduce wind noise, etc.? quickywd01 04-07-2006, 12:34 PM That stuff people use when installing a sound system that glues to your panels, dynamat. That will reduce noise but has a weight to it and don't know about the cost. I don't think you can really do anything to resolve this issue. It's a escort not a bmw. :2cents: Jet-Lee 04-13-2006, 02:57 PM Check out eDead(Elemental Designs). It's sound deadening mostly used for car stereos, but works great for killing road/wind/engine noise as well. I do believe they have a diagram showing the most effective placements to eliminate such noises. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
