I own a 93 Thunderbird and cleaned my Headlight the easy way.

I used Soft Scrub (cleaning agent) and Liquid Gold (furniture polish)

My Right side head light was replaced and I can't afford to replace the Left side yet and it didn't pass inspection.

My left side was badly yellowed I couldn't see in side of it and it was so Dull looking.

I covered the Headlight in Soft Scrub and let it dry before washing it off , The yellow just came right off. It still has a tint of yellow but I can now see in it and it looks clear and clean.
I sprayed Liquid Gold ( furniture polish on it and shined it up instead of Windex).

My car passed inspection and has been through a rain storm and still looks great.

The inspector asked me if it was a special replaced Headlight and if I was going to replace the other one as well.

I have a before and after pic, Just email me by clicking on my name in th eupper left hand corner and send me an email.

I also replaced my right side headlamp unit and had the very same problem:banghead: , I know there is a tip for this problem that includes sand paper and all, but i got some Iosso mold & die polish (http://webresultsinc.net/MivaStore/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=A&Product_Code=00022&Category_Code=Industrial)... five minutes and a little elbow grease... looks new... this stuff works wonders.:p And no yellow left at all!!!

Also... the the last owner had cleaned the instrument panel with some type of cleaner and it left streaks and white stains on it... this polish made the instrument panel glow like new.
