how much tranny fluid?

i took the pan off to change the filter so how much fluid am i going to need to fill it back up?

ok everything is back together but when the car is warmed up there is no fluid on the dipstick at all, what is wrong?

ok everything is back together but when the car is warmed up there is no fluid on the dipstick at all, what is wrong?You probably need more fluid then. 4 quarts should have been enough, but maybe you need 1 more quart. Add it slowly and keep checking the level, you don't want to overfill.

i put 5 quarts in and still nothing on the dipstick

i dont know how to , all i did was drop the pan and pull the filter off.
