3.8 engine swap help

well my engine from my 1991 is shot. So i have the chance to buy a 3.8 v6 engine cheap from a ford taurus they told me everything is the same as my 1991 ford t bird engine. But what i noticed is that the ford taurus is front wheel drive and my tbird is Rear wheel drive will it still fit? that is the only problem i have i mean everything looks the same as my tbird engine but thats the only problem the taurus is FWD? can you guys help me out and tell me if it should still fit before i buy. Thank you.
