Turbo?lancerboy 03-29-2006, 03:53 PM I own a 91 civic sedan. I was wondering if the stock d15, first of all, can be turboed and second of all, if it can, what is a safe pressure to boost at? Schister66 03-29-2006, 04:13 PM 1. Anything can be turboed, its just a matter of how much time, effort, and money will it require. 2. Boost pressure doesn't really mean anything, it depends on the size of the turbo you're running. I have a T3T4E 60 .63ar for my GSR and on 11psi it should make a little over 300whp, but that same pressure on something like a T25 would make maybe 220whp. You have a lot to learn.....read everything about turbos you can find. www.homemadeturbo.com www.honda-tech.com lancerboy 03-29-2006, 07:08 PM yeah i meant on stock internals becuase i dont have loads of money, and i know that anything can be turboed Schister66 03-30-2006, 12:45 AM do a compression and leakdown test to see what kind of shape your engine is in......generally turbo d's don't push more than 220whp daily on stock internals...... duffman868 03-30-2006, 01:46 AM the d15 are extremly weak the rods are the size of a sharpie. d15 usuallly grenade at about 150hp while the d16 can withstand about 200hp. i would just pick up an a6 and boost it Schister66 03-30-2006, 10:55 PM your best bet is getting the A6 or even a D16z6/Y8 and boosting it......if you have any more questions, just PM me or post them on here vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
