I am poised to purchase a certified pre-owned 2003 325xi. When I requested that the dealer provide me with original repair/maint records (not just the codes from the vehicle history report) and a copy of the original marked-up CPO checklist they used on the vehicle when it was released from its prior lease, he said can't get the records due to privacy issues, which I think is a lie.

When I told him to be sure to include 2 master keys and a valet key, he said that the CPOs are given 2 master keys only, no wallet and/or valet key. He said I can purchase a valet key for $50. Did the car when new come with the valet key? Sounds like another line to me.

Also, I need to know how many tools originally came with the car in its trunk mounted tool kit. The car I am looking at appears to be missing at least 2.
