from a Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and a Engine Control Unit (ECU) for a 94 XJ 4.0 Liter? Are they 2 different components? or the same with 2 different names?

Powertrain is transmission and stuff.
Engine Control is for the engine and emission control stuff.

There are a couple of XJ Cherokee manual you can download for more in depth information.
