Help....Turn signals, Blower Mtr and rear defroster Not working

I cannot figure out why all those went out at the same time. The fuses are fine, the hazards work but the turns dont, and none are on the same fused circuit........... Gotta get it inspected by saturday and i need turns to pass.

the only thing i can think of is when i temporarily wired in my electric fan, i put it to a 30A fuse in the fuse panel, which i just found out was supposed to be a 15A but i did not have the fuse diagram when i was doing that. The fan stopped working as well. The fuse that i put it on was for the rear defrost and ac clutch, etc. but not for the turns and blower........i have no clue what to do. Like i said, no fuses blew on either the small fuse panel or the high current one in the engine compartment. :banghead:

Any help is greatly greatly appreciated.

Exact thing happen to me with my 91 Tbird 5.0, I went through everything I could think of .. anyway to make a long story short your problem is in the ignition.. their is a little metal contact plate that suppose to connect to the wires when you flip the ignition, theirs only a small plastic clip that holds the contact plate up and over time, going back and forth it just breaks. I used wire ties to fix mine and that was over 2 years ago still working great. You don't have to take the ignition out, just need to take the surrounding covers off and you'll need a special 6 point? star bit with a hole in the center to take the screws off. I don't remember the exact size of the bit but that's what you need to do to fix the problem. Took me about 15-20 mins but I was really careful not to scratch my panels.

so when that happened, it took out those specific ones and only them? That is really weird. Why would only those be connected to that contact plate? What all wiring probs have you had with yours?
I will def have to check that out when i get home. I think i will pick up a new flasher just to be on the safe side as well.

Yes, the same ones went out, my hazards would work but not my turn signals, and same thing with my blower & defroster.. Their is no question about it, that is the same problem. I have no idea why it's set up that way but it is and that is the only electrical problem I've ever had with my bird..If you have any questions just ask I'm happy to help.

YOU ARE THE MAN!!!! That was exactly what it was, no doubt about it. I just took some zipties around the steering column and applied pressure to the plug with it. worked like a charm. Thank you soooo much for the help!! I dont think i would have ever traced it to that. If there is anything you ever need that i can help you with, dont hesitate to ask.
