Reset CPU on 2000 Silveradosilverado122775 03-21-2006, 04:38 PM I am looking at reseting my CPU. Does anyone know how to do that or know any draw backs from doing it? I have a 2000 Z71 Silverado. I want to reflash it back to standard driving style so that I can gain my MPG back again. I have several long trips ahead of me and need every edge. You'll also get all the updates when they do that. jethro_3 03-22-2006, 11:21 AM If you are talking about what the PCM has "Learned" you just need to unplug the battery for 20 minutes. The "Learning Process" will take about 200-500 miles to "Relearn" the trim levels and other items. If you talking about the program that hard program never changes.
