Don't buy from Team Nissan Vineland, NJprincess_12345 03-17-2006, 03:43 PM My brother just bought his frist car there(96 nissan) we asked if everything was looked over, they said yes, we test drove it, we went home and carfaxed it, and everything turned out to be clean with the car. So last night I went with my mom to pick it up and not 15 mins on the highway we had to pull over, the car overheated, so we had to turn back. Now they are telling us we bought it AS IS, and we have to pay, now I understand that, but it shouldn't have done that 15 mins off the lot. They are being very difficult. Just a bit of advice for people buying a car. Chad82 03-17-2006, 03:47 PM see if your state has a "cooling off period". Many states do. It is short though. JLad10687 03-20-2006, 07:34 AM I was actually going to buy a car from them, but I was going new. ilgoldstein 03-22-2006, 03:17 AM You asked if the car was checked over and they said yes. That is a material representation. The car overheated 15 minutes after leaving the lot. They are not required to guarantee a the car, but they are required to disclose known defects. Sounds like you may have a legal claim against them. Have a consult with a lawyer. Call the local bar association lawyer referal board. You may have a good small claim case. master hec0 03-24-2006, 10:36 PM ihad that problome at cmp classic chevolds calgary alberta we did a test drive on a 1995 dodge dakota and the next day the brakes are makin noises and we take it in to a shop and it needs 1200 dollars in repairs we went bac and they told us it is sold as is and they wont take it back i was always woundering why it was 1200 under the book value vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
